the nun

Image
The Nun   T he Nun is the latest in the fantastically tiresome and unscary Conjuring franchise – a prequel to   The Conjuring 2 , creating a backstory for the creepy sub-Marilyn Manson nun that we saw in that film. (Did Manson forget to trademark his image? Or is he getting royalties?) It also overlaps with the   Annabelle   movies – perhaps attempting to create something like the Marvel Cinematic Universe cash-cow. Anyway,  The Nun  brings back in brief cameo the characters Ed and Lorraine Warren, the real-life paranormal investigators associated with the Amityville case, played by Patrick Wilson and Vera Farmiga. It is set just after the second world war; the heroine is a trainee nun, played by Vera Farmiga’s younger sister Taissa. The resemblance is striking, and maybe we are supposed to believe that this is Lorraine’s younger self, before a name and career change. However egregiously silly it all gets, The Nun will insist on repeating the franchise...

A Quiet Place Part

Image
A Quiet Place Part   t he first Quiet Place movie emitted the most piercing silent scream imaginable. This sequel from writer-director John Krasinski may not quite have all its focus and intimate horror, while the borrowings from Alien, Jurassic Park and Jaws are admittedly more obvious this time around. But it’s a really effective and engrossing followup, with an absolutely sensational “prelude” sequence at the top of the movie, a barnstorming shocker equal to anything in AQP1 – showing the panic and terror that hit planet Earth when we were initially invaded by these hideous blind beasts whose supersensitive hearing meant that humans could only survive by being silent. The slightest noise would bring slaughter. AQP2 repurposes the situation as a quest narrative, intercutting with some style the nightmarish ordeals of those who venture out from their bunker, and those who have remained behind. The dual storylines are wrapped up together ingeniously with images and ideas slyly impl...

conjuring the devil made me do it

Image
conjuring the devil made me do it   In the third “Conjuring” movie, Ed and Lorraine Warren tirelessly work to convince a court of law — thus, the audience — that Satanism exists. “The Conjuring” movies offer a fascinating peek into the American psyche. Based on the lives of the Northeastern paranormal investigators Ed and Lorraine Warren, the franchise demands viewers invest in a worldview ruled by Christian dogma, where Godly good must battle satanic evil. “The Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It” is by far the most well-constructed, terrifying entry in the franchise, but its plot relies all too heavily on that same bizarre evangelism. “The Devil Made Me Do It,” helmed by the “Curse of La Llorona” director Michael Chaves, opens on a slickly stylized exorcism. Heavy fog introduces a series of imposing, angular shots as Ed (Patrick Wilson) and Lorraine (Vera Farmiga) work to free an 8-year-old boy from demonic possession. Top-notch sound mixing and a booming score keep th...

conjuring 2

Image
conjuring 2 hello friends ,today once agian i am going to to suggest a horror movie.this i introduced conjuring part 2.   The 2013 film “ The Conjuring ,” about a possessed farmhouse in Rhode Island, was one of the better horror movies to come along in a while, and “ The Conjuring 2 ” does everything you want a sequel to do. It’s as well made as the original, but the location and the story are different enough that it’s not just the same thing all over again. That said, you do need a little patience, as this one builds slowly. It’s another case from the files of Lorraine and Ed Warren (Vera Farmiga and Patrick Wilson, reprising their roles from the first movie), the real-life couple who attained a certain fame as paranormal investigators from the well-known occurrences in Amityville, N.Y., in the mid-1970s. That investigation gets a shout-out at the beginning of this film, but the real focus is their work in 1977, the year after they visited Amityville, in the borough...

It

Image
it Late in the summer of 1989, the marquee of the downtown movie theater in Derry, Me., advertises   “A Nightmare on Elm Street 5.”   This is an accurate period detail, and also a declaration of kinship, if not outright homage. “It,” Andy Muschietti’s adaptation of the novel by Stephen King, belongs in the same tradition of small-town terror as Wes Craven’s “Nightmare” franchise, though the question of influence has a certain chicken-and-egg quality. Pennywise the clown, the designated predator in “It,” (played by Bill Skarsgard) is, like Freddy Krueger, an avatar of deep childhood fears. And like Freddy, he’s also the literal, lethal manifestation of the evil of the world. As such, he has the potential to spawn endless sequels. He’ll be back. Or rather, he is back. Mr. Muschietti’s “It,” written by Chase Palmer, Cary Fukunaga and Gary Dauberman, represents a second trip to this particular well. Mr. King’s novel, published in 1986, was adapted for network television in 1...

The Boss Baby

Image
The Boss Baby This film tells the story of a seven year old boy, who has very busy but loving parents.  One day, his parents bring home a baby boy. He gets intensely jealous from sibling rivalry,  until he discovers that the baby can talk and is actually working for a company. "The Boss Baby" is a really fun film for the whole family. The baby is super cute,  and  everyone will fall in love with the baby in an instant. The sibling rivalry plot is convincing,  then the fantasy kicks in. The jokes are funny and family friendly. Actually everything about  the film, from the plot to the characters are likable, fun and cute. I was very entertained. download link will be provided soon.

Doraemon: Nobita's Secret Gadget Museum

Image
Doraemon: Nobita's Secret Gadget Museum      I am a huge Doraemon fan. The simple fact that I could experience Doraemon movie in the digital cinema, equipped with latest sound system, had already pleased me beyond measure. Prepare for a very biased, spoiler-containing, review.  The primer : Doraemon’s bell was stolen by the famous thief, DX. Doraemon refused to buy a new bell and insisted on looking for the old one at all cost. Using clues from the Sherlock Holmes set, Nobita and friends were led to the gadget museum in the 22 nd  century only to find that many other gadgets were also stolen. Why did the thief from the future want Doraemon’s broken bell? Was there some evil agenda behind all the seemingly irrelevant events? And most importantly, why was this broken bell so important to Doraemon? Sticking with 2D animation: absolute win! There is no greater admirer of 2D animation than I am. I have seen a handful of older Doraemon movies which used comput...

Doraemen In Nobita and Steel Troops: New Age

Image
Doraemen In Nobita and Steel Troops: New Age This is the best animated movie on the face of the earth. Riruru is the character in any animated movie that I ever got seriously connected with . She is just the best . She was the first character I ever cried for at an age of 6 . Pippo is also very cute and thoughtful. And of course the normal doraemon characters are legends without question. This movie gives oit the basic characteristic of humainity . How even when there is an enemy robot yet humans stand for her and aid her. It also masterfully shows how RIRURU'S and pippo's attitude towards humans changes slowly with each passing moment and they feel thankful towards their generosity . And the ending ! Phew, that crushes my heart every time I watch it. I am now 16 now and am a fairly successful high schooler and have all sense of discipline because my childhood was aided by the best friend I could possibly imagine ,DORAEMON who taught me how to betough in times of misery , rej...

Stand by Me Doraemon 2

Stand by Me Doraemon 2                                         Stand by Me Doraemon 2 portrays this maturity with care and precision. Based on the short films Doraemon: A Grandmother’s Recollection and The Day When I Was Born, directors Ryuichi Yagi and Takashi Yamazaki successfully make Nobita an evolved character breaking the callous and awkward persona. The story revolves around the day of Nobita’s birthday when he gets scolded by his mom for not showing his exam result to her. Saddened by that, he complains that his parents always scold him and is suspicious that maybe he is not their real son. Suddenly, he finds a family album, where he finds her grandmother’s photo. Nobita reminisces how caring his grandmother is towards him and begs Doraemon to go to the past to see her again. When they get there, his grandmother recognizes Nobita and tells him about her wish to see his bride...

The Pale Blue Eye

Image
The Pale Blue Eye’ Review: Stolen Hearts and Tortured Minds A tormented detective and a fictional Edgar Allan Poe team up to solve grisly killings in this stuffy period melodrama. Lavishly appointed and stodgy as week-old Christmas pudding, “The Pale Blue Eye” is a pulpy murder mystery bristling with florid dialogue and supernatural flourishes. Imagining a crime-solving partnership between a grouchy police detective and a fictional Edgar Allan Poe, this historical thriller cooks up overheated gothic melodrama in a wintry New York setting. That would be the young West Point military academy in the winter of 1830. A hanged man has been found in the woods, his heart crudely removed and his injuries suggesting a male killer. At least, that’s the conclusion drawn by Augustus Landor (Christian Bale), whose storied reputation as a scourge of gangs and general miscreants precedes his arrival at the scene. A grieving widower whose daughter is mysteriously out of the picture, Landor, and h...
